Happy Holiday

Wishing you & your families a wonderful holiday season.  Best wishes for a bright & healthy start to 2022!!

Reminder – School will be closed on December 25th, 2021, and January 1, 2022.  Spring Semester will begin on January 8th, 2022.

2021 Donations to CHS
As you plan on making holiday purchases for your family and friends, please consider making a 2021 tax deductible donation to CHS. CHS is a non profit 501c3 organization, and we depend on donations from family and friends for the continued support of our school. Any contribution, large or small, makes a big difference. Also consider that many workplaces match donations that you provide. Contributing to CHS is easy, and can be sent via Zelle (chsnj2000@gmail.com). Thanks in advance!

CHS Distance Learning will continue for the Spring Semester
Due to the rapid rise in cases of the coronavirus, the Crossroads South Middle School currently is not accepting any permit application for using their facilities. Therefore, CHS will continue implementing distance learning for the Spring Semester, which will begin on January 8th, 2022.

Back to School Meeting

The Back-to-School Meeting is scheduled for this Saturday, September 25, 2021. The meeting will take place via the same zoom link of your child’s class.

Start times:

          K1: 12:15pm EDT

          L1: 10:40am EDT

          All other classes: 11am EDT

The objective of the meeting is for your child’s teacher to share information specific to the class, such as: syllabus, areas of focus, homework expectation and on-going communication methods etc. It also provides a good opportunity for parents and teachers to know each other more and for parents to ask general questions related to the class.

We look forward to your participation. See you all this Saturday.

STUDENT RESOURCES
Please take advantage of the extensive resources that we have on our school website: www.chsnj2000.org.
Go to the “Resources” tab, and then select your class. It contains audio files for each chapter and link to Quizlet.

CANTONESE CARTOON PLAYLIST
We understand that many of our students do not have frequent exposure to Cantonese; thus lack the opportunity to listen and practice speaking in Cantonese. Therefore, we bring ideas of Cantonese Cartoon to our students, hoping that students, by watching the cartoons, can cumulate more experience in listening and using Cantonese in daily settings.  The YouTube playlist are available at: http://www.chsnj2000.org/cantonese-cartoon/
